About This Game

Woodle Tree 2: Worlds is an open world platformer/adventure videogame.
You'll assume the role of the son of the last hero who saved the world in the first game. This time the forces of evil are taking over the Wood Lands with a black substance that is absorbing energy and life from the living creatures!
Will you be able to take over this enormous new evil force?

  I had sex with this game.
  Now I know what you're thinking "Impossible! lel you can't have intercourse with a game"
  Oh yeah? Well check this out. This game has multiple loading screens around it's "open world" right? Now sometimes these loading screens take a long time.
  Another feature this game has is if you're using a gamepad with vibration, every time you land from any type of fall whether it be a jump or ledge, your controller will rumble. Now come to find out If you happen to get a loading screen right at the same time you land from a fall, your controller will continuously rumble for the entire loading screen. What does this all mean? Well a few hours in I noticed something big: This game \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665ing sucks.
  80% of it's open world is barren and just littered with pointless optional "puzzles" that don't really do anything and even reset when you relaunch the game. Hell I even got a few screenshots of some randomly placed doors that weren't even blocking off anything properly:

  Anywho, shortly after I started getting fed up with the game I was headed towards this snowy mountain, hopping the entire way there to try and keep myself focused. Then bam, loading screen right when I was landing. Endless rumble. So then I got an idea. I said "\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 it" and dropped my controller into my boxers and leaned back. 5 mins later it's still rumbling and I about \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 on my controller, luckily I yank it out in time. Come to find out, the game crashed and I had a bug error in the background.
  moral of the story: This game is so boring it almost ruined my controller. A huge downgrade from the first game. Feels like the developer ran out of steam while trying to design the map and just started placing stuff at random to make it look done from a distance.
  Can't recommend in it's current state.. a masterpeice, and should be worshipped like a message from the gods. 5.5\/10. Woodle Tree 2: Worlds honestly seems like it was never quite ready to be released. The first game was cute and great, only issue was the camera controls were highly lacking. This game fixes that camera issue and lets you adjust it to your liking.
  Camera aside, the game is highly unstable. Multiple accounts from multiple people all seem to be the same, "I crash on loading..". You'll crash on a loading screen more often than not. In my estimated 6 hrs played, I've crashed on a loading screen an estimated 30 times. It's horribly frustrating and causes you to lose a lot of progress and things of that nature.
  There is only one upside to all of this crap, and that's the dev[s] seems to be fairly active on the games forum and is more than willing to try and help you out if there is a fix, though note the problem will not be your computer, it will DEFINITELY be the game.
  The only way I would recommend buying this game is if you're buying it for Steam Cards, in which case buy it on sale!. Much more buggy than Woodle Tree Adventures, multiplayer doesn't work, kept glitching, certain areas impossible to reach, sadly refunded.

So if I'm correct the point of the game is to roam this big world where there are multiple levels such as the beach, desert, moutain, and some others and find 3 droplets that are hidden throughout that specific level. Each level takes about a little over 30 minutes to complete and there are enemies you have to avoid. The enemies aren't really hard, but they do make going through the levels a bit more difficult. You can hit the enemies with your leaf but you won't need to do that the majority of the time. Throughout the world there are hidden things you can find, but I haven't seen what they do yet. This game is sort of a collectathon. You collect these polka dot balls and use them to unlock new colors for your leaf, masks, and other things for your available hand. This game plays fairly well aside from the fact that using the leaf to attack enemies is awkward and you can not change any settings because the game lacks an options menu. Overall the game is pretty fun and cutesie. Definitely worth the price.. I know this is early access and that's exactly why I'm giving it a thumbs down right now. The game has a lot of potential to be great, but it is far from it. It is better than the first, but there is a lot more work needed to be done than the one month that the dev states in the early access description.
  
  The game doesn't feel good to control. The animations of the character lag, making movement awkward. The leaf attack is difficult to use because of how long the delay is between the button press and the animation\/attack. This is especially true of the shot, I often fire in the wrong direction because I turn after the animation ends but the water droplet fires even later. Those issues combined with the way you get stunned make combat extremely painful.
  
  Right Trigger is implied to warp you back to the start according to an in game sign but it does nothing. I had to hold E on my keyboard to warp.
  
  I might be missing it but I'm not seeing a HUD anywhere.
  
  There are a lot of areas that seemed like side paths that I could explore that were just simply dead ends. Filling the world with more collectables would be nice so you have a reason to venture off the trail of berries that lead to your goal.
  
  The game needs better optimization. I jump from 60 fps all the way down to sub 25 frequently.
  
  The camera feels like it's on ice.
